When God Speaks…Things Change!

Wonderful time of study this morning! Up to Psalms 27. Studying with the aid of the footnotes in my study Bible and F.B. Meyers “Gems From the Psalms.” Over the weekend I am going to go back over each one and go into Matthew Henry’s Commentary and Charles Spurgeon’s “The Treasury of David.”

I have made a commitment to write three pages every morning after I study, to just put down whatever comes to my mind, and heart, after I study. (It seems like such a task before I start them but then I am amazed at how quickly they fill up.)

This morning was such an overwhelming time. God absolutely gave me an answer to something I have been struggling with for YEARS!

You know, when He says something the simplicity of it astounds me… and yet the power in it and behind it is so overwhelming. It truly was an answer I have been struggling to find for years and when He spoke it to me it went so deep into my soul and had such a profound effect on me that it was like an explosion within me. It is not just one answer, but an answer that will permeate into so many other areas of my understanding. This experience is life changing!

I have to keep it in the privacy of my own heart for now, to allow it to take full root… He taught me that years ago that sometimes in my eagerness to help someone else, I give away things He opens up to me before He finishes developing them in me. That is so true…I see that so clearly now. And believe me… this is wisdom from HIM! As He spoke it…even in it’s simplicity, it was as though I could hear the powers that have stood against me crumble around me!

How do I even begin to express the depth of my gratitude?
